Propped Up & Peaceful:

Yoga Support

Yoga should meet you exactly where you are—on any given day, in any mood, and in every body. That’s why props are a beloved part of our practice. They offer support, ease, and invitation. They make space—physically and energetically—for your breath, your stillness, your unfolding.

From gentle movement to deep stillness, here’s how we love to use props in each of your classes.

Gentle Yoga

Support your flow with ease.

Props you’ll love:

  • Blocks to lift the floor to your hands

  • Straps to soften into stretches

  • Blankets for knees, hips, or seated posture

  • Optional chairs for standing support

  • Small Pilates balls for gentle core engagement or lumbar support

Gentle Yoga is all about kindness and stability. Props create room to breathe and help your body move in ways that feel safe, spacious, and sustainable.

Restorative Yoga

Let the ground rise to meet you.

Props you’ll love:

  • Bolsters to hold your body completely

  • Blankets for warmth and padding

  • Blocks for lift and structure

Restorative Yoga is a practice of being, not doing. To quote Judith Hansen “restorative Yoga is the use of props to support the body in positions of comfort and ease to facilitate relaxation and health restorative yoga is about opening not about stretch stretching although sometimes poses may create a slight stretch. A stretch is never the intention at all.” Props here aren’t accessories—they’re the practice. Each layer of support helps your body soften, your nervous system recalibrate, and your mind begin to truly rest.

Yin Yoga

Settle in, go deep.

Props you’ll love:

  • Bolsters under knees, backs, or hips

  • Blocks to support folded shapes

  • Blankets for comfort and quiet warmth

In Yin, time is the teacher. Props help you stay longer, with less tension, and invite release through surrender rather than force.

Meditation

Sit well, stay present.

Props you’ll love:

  • Cushions or bolsters to lift the hips

  • Blankets to support posture or provide warmth

  • Chairs for an accessible, upright seat

Meditation starts with comfort. A well-supported seat allows the spine to stack and the breath to deepen. Props help the body settle so the mind can follow.

Fusion Flow Yoga

Balance effort with support.

Props you’ll love:

  • Blocks for strength, stability, and alignment

  • Straps for deeper exploration

  • Blankets to cushion joints

  • Yoga wheels for backbends, balance, or core strengthening

  • Small Pilates balls for core work or to add resistance and control

Fusion Flow blends strength, movement, and mindful stillness. Props meet you where you are and help you explore where you’re going—with integrity and ease.

Some Final Thoughts:

Props are powerful tools for awareness. They don’t mean you’re doing less—they mean you’re practicing smarter, softer, and more in tune with what you truly need.

So go ahead—grab the bolster, unfold the blanket, roll onto the wheel, or tuck in that Pilates ball.

Supports will help you get farther in your practice and in life. Let the support remind you that you are already enough, already home, already held.
